I’m not sure if thats true. My brother used to get canker sores all the time when he was little but he never gets them now and he has been tested for herpes and he doesn’t have it… Althought, i dont know if theres is a difference between canker sores and cold sores

  2. busymother24 says:

Thank you boo! I’m snapping my fingers and rolling neck for you!

  3. busymother24 says:

    Herpes is a bacteria.

  4. busymother24 says:

Canker sores are slightly different from herpes, I didn’t get in depth in this video but there are many ways of contracting the virus, even innocent ones of which sometimes, unfortunately, we have no control.

  5. lovevsabsence says:

    no, it’s a virus. not a bacteria.

  6. lovevsabsence says:

completely wrong. genital herpes is different from the herpes that people call cold sores. cold sores are herpes type I, and gential herpes are type II.

  7. rockabillysilly says:

You can get Herpes I and II on both mouth and genitals!

  8. blkqueen075 says:

Canker sores, also called aphthous ulcers, are small, shallow lesions that develop on the soft tissues in your mouth — under your tongue, inside your cheeks or lips, and at the base of your gums. Unlike cold sores, canker sores don’t occur on the surface of your lips and aren’t contagious. They can be very painful, however, and can make eating and talking difficult.

    from a web site

  9. outcome69 says:

Correct. HSV II was HISTORICALLY linked to only genital herpes, but HSV II has been known for many years to infect anywhere that herpes simplex viruses can infect (mouth, throat, eyes, genitals, etc).

Also, HSV II is typically linked with more virulent outbreaks, where as HSV I was more associated with smaller less virulent outbreaks (ie what a classic fever blister looks like).

  10. outcome69 says:

Born with an outbreak??? Never heard of that. People claim that they were “born” with the virus already in the nerve cells around the mouth. That is not possible given the way the virus infects a person.

  11. outcome69 says:

The most likely scenario is that the kid touched someone else or got kissed by someone… THERE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACTIVE LESION TO SPREAD A HERPES INFECTION!!! The virus sometimes sheds even without an active lesion. This is why some think they were born with it because they have never kissed anyone with a fever blister or had sex with someone having an outbreak.

  12. outcome69 says:

And remember, just touching an area where the infected nerve cell is (ie around the mouth) and then touching somewhere else, can spread the infection even if there wasn’t a lesion there (since the virus can shed sometimes even without active lesions!). Some evidence also exists that says it has somewhat of a fomitic transfer, meaning it may be possible to transmit via inanimate objects (historically this was not thought to be possible).

  13. busymother24 says:

Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the virus with everyone! I am sure they appreciate it! Hope you’re having a great weekend!

  14. jetdatboy says:

why the hell do they call it a cold sore? why not just herpes pimple

  15. DannyCalifornia11393 says:

I have a very important question, Can you get herpes by sharing a pipe or a cigarette around while the person isnt on an outbreak?

  16. busymother24 says:

Now this isn’t medical advice rite here but it has been said that during the time a person isn’t having an outbreak is when you are at the least risk of contracting the disease…but take ALL precautions…if you know someone is infected..don’t make any type of contact with them. Not even eye contact, lol, just kidding but no, be careful contacting them skin or saliva or sexwise, period!

  17. DannyCalifornia11393 says:

so if i share a drink with the person and he/she is not on an outbreak, im still at a risk of getting? and if so, what the risk would be ALOT lower right?

  18. CapnMcFancyPants says:

what they dont tell you is that just because you have a fever blister (herpes), it doesn’t mean that you have ‘STD’ herpes. Don’t get freaked out, a lot of people get cold sores.

  19. bigbadbutch88 says:

Cold Sores are just face herpes.

  20. zgatewood says:

bitch you ain’t no doctor. if u say it’s herpes say it right it’s herpes type b not genital herpes. and people not gon go around sayin they got herpes when they don’t. so yeah it is a fever blister, cold sore whatever you want to call it. if you wanna call it herpes don’t forget to call it herpes type b and not genital herpes.

  21. zgatewood says:

bitch both don’t cause genital herpes only one

  22. thecavemon says:

o.k bitch so what is chicken-pox?
